Oh it's so easy to complain, to point the fingers on things that just didn't go to your favor. Now, this might sound a little extreme to some, or just like the right kick to others.
You don't really want. No, you don't really want to be happy. You don't really want to change. You don't really want to win. You don't really want to reach your goal, stop smoking, loose weight, save money, be healthy, or whatever it is, that you seem to struggle with or make you unhappy. You don't really want it. If you do, stop reading this and start acting! I like to say "you always just talk talk talk, you never walk the walk". People talk too much, they don't walk the walk enough. I can understand, as talking is sooooo so sooo much more comfortable. You can talk while you are sitting and lying in your bed and eating your favorite chips while watching some brain damaging show, that teaches you and your children how important Gucci and Co. are. You want something, you better go and earn it. You gotta diserve it girl (or boy)! Whatever it is that you are searching for or want to achieve, it wouldn't be so amazing if it wouldn't come with some challenge, commitment, diszipline that you have to put down on the table. Show and proof to yourself how BAD YOU REALLY WANT IT!! In my case, I want AND WILL lead climb my 5.10's in trad this year. I promise that to myself. This is about growing as a person, getting out of your comfort zone, really wanting something. If you really want something, this will fire your energy and motivation and whatever it is that you need to fire to get you where you want to be. So you are feeling low, no where to go? No idea what to do? Try things, find something that inspires you. You got to put your best effort in it and I guarantee, you will find something that you really want and work towards it. I really want to climb The Nose on El Cap in one years time. For some this might be "just" aid climbing, but for me, this is a whole another step up. Having to haul and aid up 1.000 meters day after day after day? That requires commitment and preparation. At his point I have been climbing for 3 years. My husband and I moved to Yosemite 3 months ago where we started trad climbing at the same time. I might be comfortable leading a 5.8 trad, maybe even 5.9, my husband has been very protective towards me in this way. But now it's time to step it up! And yes, I really want that and there is just one think stopping me from this achievement: me. And I certainly wont let that happen. Rock ON! Woohoo! Caleb and I made it our project to climb The Nose, El Capitan, in Winter 2015/2016.
